Caption: In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Ambassador’s Fund has supported projects at the National Ethnological Museum and the University of Kinshasa, among other institutions, to protect their collections and to preserve Congolese culture. The fund has also sponsored efforts to preserve the traditional music of the Pygmy people.

Caption: : The National Museum Institute of the Congo, located in the commune of Ngaliema, was opened in 1970. Although the institute has a collection of over 45,000 objects, it does not currently have the structures necessary to preserve or display them.
