American film producer and animator Walt Disney, who helped invent the cartoon character Mickey Mouse, posed for Steichen in 1933. In this portrait, a smiling Disney sits at his drawing board, while his ebullient alter ego -- Mickey Mouse -- appears in duplicate, looming over the shoulders of his creator.
