Jurassic 5 was a Los Angeles-based hip-hop group formed in 1993. In 2007, the group confirmed that it would disband after its final live tour in March of that year. Jurassic 5 achieved success as part of the alternative hip-hop movement, which deliberately blurs musical genres by drawing from funk, pop/rock, jazz, soul and reggae, as well as traditional rap.
