Nevada Solar One, a 64-megawatt solar thermal power plant near Boulder City, Nevada, will supply power to about 14,000 homes in the Las Vegas area. Nine similar solar installations are operating in California’s Mojave Desert, but Nevada Solar One is the most energy efficient. An international project led by Solargenix Energy (USA), Nevada Solar One was designed and built by ACCIONA (Spain), with suppliers Schott and Flabeg (Germany) and Siemens (Sweden).
