US Embassy Celebrates the US Election

The US Embassy and the Turkish American Association hosted over 250 Turkish friends and colleagues at an all night election watch. Guests were treated to a panel of experts on the US elections, quizzes on the US political system and a teleconference with former US Ambassador to Turkey Marc Grossman. In remarks to the guests after the results were known, US Ambassador Ross Wilson reminded the crowd that no matter who is president, the US-Turkish relationship will remain strong, saying “president after president has understood the importance of Turkey to the United States and of the United States to Turkey. President after president has engaged seriously, and in a very sustained way with Turkish leaders for decades
