Born in Oklahoma and currently living and working in Atlanta Georgia, Ingram’s paintings are about process, design and structure. Ingram makes small linoleum prints of patterns taken from iron gates and fences. Slowly he builds the surfaces of his paintings, alternating between printing and painting over top. Ingram takes two of the essential forms of 20th Century painting and joins them together in one painting, abstraction and geometry.
