Melanne Verveer, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, will visit Warsaw June 20-22, 2009. Ambassador Verveer will represent Hilary Clinton with a message to the Polish women at the international congress “Women for Poland, Poland for Women: 20 years of transformation 1989-2009.” She will also meet with the Polish Judiciary and selected groups of activists to discuss violence against women and other issues affecting women all over the world. Secretary Clinton presided over Ambassador Verveer’s swearing-in on June 12.
