First ever Ambassador to Montenegro Hosts Independence Day Celebration

On July 2, 2008, first ever U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Roderick W. Moore, hosted a reception, to celebrate the 232nd anniversary of the United States' Declaration of Independence. Ambassador Moore addressed the guests highlighting a long lasting friendship and partnership between the two states and their citizens. "Love for freedom is something that Montenegrin and U.S. people have in common," Ambassador Moore said. The guests enjoyed the musical repertoire provided by the U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band “Flagship” and the Women’s Choir of the Music School "Vasa Pavic" from Podgorica. This event concluded with a magnificent fireworks display.
