59 Mauritanian English teachers from across the country completed a week-long workshop on English teaching on December 8 in Nouakchott. Visiting English Language Specialist, Nancy Ackles, from the United States spent five days with eager English teachers demonstrating new techniques on classroom management, dealing with various levels in classes, and overcoming meager resources. This is the first of three one-week workshops that the U.S. Embassy's Public Affairs Section is funding with additional support from Ecole Normale Superieur and the Ministry of Education.
