On September 24, singer Violeta Rakauskaite dazzled a capacity crowd at Vilniaus Mokytoju Namai with her performance alongside the Lithuanian State Wind Orchestra Trimitas Chamber group. The concert program varied from popular Lithuanian “oldies” to classic American show tunes. The Trimitas orchestra, led by Conductor Romas Balčiūnas, blended in well-known Gershwin compositions among Ms. Rakauskaite’s solo numbers. For the concert’s final song, the audience was treated to a rousing rendition of “America the Beautiful”.
