During her visit to Latvia’s second largest city, Ambassador Garber met with the Mayor Jānis Lāčplēsis, visited Daugavpils State Polish High School, gave the Library of America book collection to Daugavpils University Library, visited American Center at Latgale Central Library, places of worship, got acquainted with Mark Rothko's Room at Daugavpils Museum of Regional Studies and Art, and delivered a speech at the Science Fair at Daugavpils University.
