American musicians John Ferguson and Ira Spaulding performed a concert titled "Variations on America" at the Red Hall, located in the Youth and Sports Center.
Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Spaulding work with "American Voices," an arts organization that has sent American performers to countries across the world to give audiences a taste of the diversity of American music. The duo performs a variety of American music styles, from Broadway show tunes, to ragtime, to traditional Negro spirituals.
It was also offered one more level of diversity this evening - the addition of Kosovar voices to our American cornucopia when singers from the University of Pristina performed selections from the classic musical "West Side Story."
