Panaroma Jazz Band Brings New Orleans' Music to Turkey
 
The Panaroma Jazz Band delighted audiences in Turkey with New Orleans jazz music between June 30 and July 7, 2010. As part of the 17th Annual International Istanbul Jazz Festival, which is organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and the Arts (IKSV), the band performed at the International Istanbul Jazz Festival’s gala opening concert, before crowds at the Tunel Feast street carnival (a festival within a festival in the heart of Istanbul), on a Jazz Boat on the Bosphorus strait along with a Turkish quartet and at a street concert on Istanbul's more residential and conservative Anatolian side. The group also performed at the Mission's official Independence Day receptions in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. The Panorama Jazz Band has been inspiring people to dance, stomp their feet and clap their hands for more than 15 years – and now they have many new fans here in Turkey!
