As part of America Days, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs Larry Schwartz interacted with political, community, cultural and business leaders in Thrissur, Kerala. He also engaged students of Vimala College, St. Thomas College, Sree Kerala Varma College and Sri Ramakrishna Gurukula Vidya Mandir on topics ranging from American Studies to U.S.- India Relations and Youth Volunteerism for Peace Building. Among the events organized in Thrissur were a walk for the environment, American Literature Film Festival, Oscar '09 Film Festival, All Kerala Speech contest on "Democracy: Prospects and Challenges" and an Iftar Party.
