Over 80 Frankfurt soccer kids and their families participated in the first German-American PaintFest on the grounds of TSG 51 in Eschersheim. The young soccer players played a soccer contest, and together with their families painted eight murals, which were donated to Frankfurt hospitals. The Frankfurt Paint Fest was supported by Sportkreis Frankfurt, and the Kreisjugendausschuss Frankfurt of the Hesse Soccer Federation (HFV). In addition, the German Soccer League (DFL) will give a donation to the University Hospital for each painted mural.
On April 26, young soccer players of the North Atlanta Soccer Association already had created eight murals. Scott Feight, Director of the Foundation for Hospital Art, and James Seward, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate, presented the 16 colorful murals and an additional one produced by the Consulate community to representatives of the Children's Hospital Clementine, the Hoechst Hospital, Frankfurt University Hospital, and the St. Markus Hospital. Participating soccer clubs were Türkgücü Frankfurt, 1. FFC, SV 07 Heddernheim, TSG 51, Viktoria Preußen, and 1. Rödelheimer FC 02.
