On September 14, members of the Defense Attaché Office of the U.S. Embassy in Cameroon traveled to Maroua and Garoua in the Far North and North regions of Cameroon for the inauguration and monitoring of eight Humanitarian Assistance projects. The projects, which cost approximately $150,000 (67,500,000 Fcfa), were financed by the U.S. AFRICA COMMAND (AFRICOM) Humanitarian Assistance Program. The later seeks to improve the lives of the civilian population through the construction, renovation, and repair of buildings, bridges, and wells.
