In honor of World Environment Day, the Embassy hosted June 5 an event with Cameroonian government officials, civil society, NGOs, and students to highlight the importance of “think globally, act locally,” a term coined in 1972 by Rene Dubos, an advisor to the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment.
