U. S. Agency Awards Grant to Support Healthcare in Bulgaria
 
On September 11, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a grant to United Medical EAD (United Medical) to assist the company in evaluating its expansion plans in Bulgaria. The $268,825 grant was conferred during a signing ceremony held at Hilton Hotel in Sofia. Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Sofia John Ordway and United Medical Executive Director Andrey Markov signed the grant agreement on behalf of the U.S. government and United Medical, respectively. Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Commercial Service in Sofia Scott Pozil and the Bulgarian Deputy Minster of Health Valeriy Mitrev signed as witnesses to the grant agreement.
