Dimitrova was a member of a kindergarten group in 1972. The school was renovated by U.S. Naval Construction Battalion 11 and 3, and Bulgarian Land Forces troops of the Center for Preparation of Tank Specialists in Sliven as part of a combined humanitarian civic assistance effort of Joint Task Force-East. Nelson is a Reserve soldier from the 457th Civil Affairs Battalion out of Vicenza, Italy.
