Jamaican-American world-renowned, multi-platinum, performing artist Shaggy visited the U.S. Embassy on August 8 where he met Form I, II, and III students and teachers from Twiga Secondary School.
Shaggy answered the students' questions about the music industry, stressed the importance of education, and handed over reading books to each of the students. He also presented a gift from the American people of books and soccer balls for the Twiga Secondary school library and sports program. Shaggy told the students that books were the key to their future success, and mentioned that one of the most influential books he read early on in his career was on the ins and outs of the music industry.
